Austin Smith

Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach / Facility Manager

‘Aussie’ has introduced a combined background of sports prescription and clinical rehabilitation toPinnacle Performance. He has been involved with high level Rugby from a young age and developed his skills training at Premier Division (UQ), state (Queensland U19) and national (Australian 7’s) levels. To complement his training, Aussie completed his Bachelor degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at The University of Queensland and is a qualified accredited Clinical Exercise Physiologist under ESSA.

Aussie has had a wide range of exercise prescription experience, ranging from hospital setting rehabilitation and aged care, to elite athlete Strength and Conditioning (Queensland Reds, 2012).

Bobbie-ann Poulton

Born and raised in the UK Bobbie has been surrounded by sports and athleticism from an early age. Whether it was riding horses competitively, playing rugby union or doing Cross Fit, Bobbie is no stranger to sport and the aches and pains sometimes associated with them.

It is fair to say Bobbie has a vast knowledge of human movement and uses it as a catalyst to forming her training modalities. Her interest lies specifically in rehabilitative measures but she takes a mindful approach to her training.

Danny Atamu

Danny specialises in Strength & Conditioning with vast experience with a wide range of clientele throughout youth/adolescent development, general populations and sport-specific interventions. He has been involved in competitive rugby since an early age, representing Counties Manukau in South Auckland (NZ), stints at Northcote, Bombay (NZ) and North Brisbane Eagles in the Brisbane Premier Division, as well as Niue Island in the South Pacific at International level in both the 15’s and 7s versions, and now continues his semi-professional rugby life within Hong Kong Cricket Club’s Senior Premiership rugby squad.

A recent Loughborough University graduate with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science, Gabriel has utilised his knowledge as a Sports Science student to develop his own goals and ambitions as a rugby player. International experience with both Scotland and England age groups has taught Gabriel that in order to be successful, the necessity to train smart and to understand the integrative physiology of the body is crucial in achieving any goal.

Our latest recruit straight from the the Pinnacle Internship, Thomas is studying in Sports and Recreation Management under the specialisation of Sports Coaching, and is utilising his experience as a competitive rugby player to develop all types of athletes in Hong Kong. Coaching at recreational level Thomas now brings his experience of applying science to practical applications within Pinnacle Performance in support of how members manage their development and see individual progress.

Physiotherapist

Sarah is a South African born and qualified physiotherapist who always strives to put her patients first. She believes that everyone is unique and therefore each patient requires specific care to his/her needs. She has an absolute love for sport and since being in Hong Kong has worked alongside Pinnacle Performance with Asian Golf, the ladies PGA, the Hong Kong Rugby Union and the Hong Kong Cricket Association.

Talia Sekotill

Physiotherapist

Talia graduated from Brunel University, London, and relocated to Hong Kong in early 2013 after 2 years of working in the UK National Health Service. She believes in taking a holistic approach to assessing and treating her patients and focuses on restoring correct biomechanics using a mixture of traditional manual mobilisation, muscle energy and exercise based techniques, and has a special interest in treating shoulder, neck, knee and lower back pain.
